Dd’s Discount is a clothing retail store located in Miami FL. This store was designed with a system (7) Roof Top Units system totaling 60 tons of cooling along with an enthalpy economizer and barometric relief damper on all RTUs. All units were controlled thru an Energy Management System that controlled all A/C systems as well as the lighting of the store. All roof top units have a factory mounted smoke detector in the supply and return air of the unit. The air distribution system consist of sheet metal duct work wrapped with 2” R-6 duct wrap insulation, along with supply air 24X24 lay-in diffusers, and 24X24 perforated lay-in return air grilles by Titus. The (4) main units cooling the sales areas have concentric diffusers which include supply and return air devices. The building also has (4) exhaust systems, totaling 1950 cfm, along with duct work venting air to the roof. All work was performed per the latest Miami Dade Building Code and was inspected and approved by City Miami Dade County.
